I finally finished my tote bag

Well, I'm back from my really short, short trip to Dominican Republic. I had a great time with the family and some friends. The play was awesome. I was very impressed with their performance. I will post pictures from the trip and the play at another post. I think it deserves a post of its own :).

In the meantime, I wanted to share with you my tote bag. It's all finished! I'm so proud! I mean, it's not perfect. I made a few mistakes but you can barely see them.

Here are some pictures:

For my next project, I'm thinking about making this dress. It seems very easy to make. We'll see.

  1. You did a great job on this! Love the color combination. I also like that dress pattern. I use to sew all the time and I know you are enjoying it. It's one of the lost arts.

  2. Very nicely done. So you are thinking of sewing a summer dress, when fall is about to begin? I think it's very pretty and with every project, you will learn something new. Sewing classes do help a lot. Are you still continuing taking them after making this bag?

  3. Thanks! Connie, how come you are not sewing anymore. It's so much faster and cheaper than knitting I think. Aura, by the time I finish that dress will be summer again, lol. I would like to take a few more classes to learn how to put a zipper and use lining. After that, I'll be on my own doing simple things.
